What is the FMCSA payment portal for reinstatement?
The $80 FMCSA reinstatement fee (49 CFR §360.3T(f)(52)) is paid to FMCSA as part of the reinstatement request in Motus, FMCSA's registration system; FMCSA doesn't process the request without it. Outstanding civil penalties are a separate debt, paid as directed in FMCSA's penalty notice. Fast Trucking Compliance's MC authority reinstatement price is itemized as two separate amounts: $220 service fee + $80 FMCSA fee = $300 total.

Why does it matter?
The $80 reinstatement fee is set by 49 CFR §360.3T(f)(52) and is the same for MC, MX, MC-B, and FF authority. FMCSA does not process a reinstatement request until the fee is paid. With Fast Trucking Compliance, the $80 FMCSA fee is its own line next to our service fee: $220 service fee + $80 FMCSA fee = $300 total.
Outstanding civil penalties are a separate debt. A carrier that doesn't pay a final civil penalty, or keep to an agreed payment plan, can be prohibited from operating and have its registration suspended or revoked (49 CFR 386.83), so the penalty has to be paid or resolved with FMCSA before a reinstatement for that cause can go through. Payment instructions are in the penalty notice FMCSA sends.
Registration data, including the reinstatement request, goes through Motus, FMCSA's registration system (motus.dot.gov, with sign-in through Login.gov). The carrier's status can be checked in FMCSA's Motus public search (by USDOT number or company name).

We prepare your reinstatement request; it is submitted to FMCSA by you or a filer you authorize. FMCSA charges an $80 fee to reinstate revoked MC operating authority (49 CFR 360.3T). For MC reinstatement, our $220 service fee and the $80 FMCSA fee are itemized as two separate amounts before you pay ($300 total). DOT out-of-service reinstatement is a $200 service fee with no FMCSA fee.
