Compliance FAQ

What is the total cost of MC reinstatement?

The fixed piece is the $80 FMCSA reinstatement fee (49 CFR §360.3T(f)(52)). The rest depends on the cause: bringing insurance current (set by your insurer), a fresh BOC-3 if the designation lapsed ($75 through Fast Trucking Compliance), any outstanding civil penalties, and any service fee. Fast Trucking Compliance's MC authority reinstatement price is itemized as two separate amounts: $220 service fee + $80 FMCSA fee = $300 total.

Why does it matter?

The base reinstatement cost is the $80 FMCSA reinstatement fee (49 CFR §360.3T(f)(52)). It is fixed regardless of revocation cause, and FMCSA doesn't process the request until it is paid.

BOC-3: $75 one-time through Fast Trucking Compliance if a fresh designation is needed. If the existing BOC-3 is still on file with FMCSA, there may be nothing to pay here.

Insurance: any cost of bringing the policy current or binding a new one is set by your insurer. The premium is an ongoing operating cost rather than a reinstatement fee.

Service fees vary by provider. Fast Trucking Compliance's MC authority reinstatement price is itemized as two separate amounts: $220 service fee + $80 FMCSA fee = $300 total. Outstanding civil penalties, if any, are paid to FMCSA separately.

We prepare your reinstatement request; it is submitted to FMCSA by you or a filer you authorize. FMCSA charges an $80 fee to reinstate revoked MC operating authority (49 CFR 360.3T). For MC reinstatement, our $220 service fee and the $80 FMCSA fee are itemized as two separate amounts before you pay ($300 total).
