Doing it yourself
Create a free account at login.gov, then sign in at motus.dot.gov and link your USDOT number to your account. From there you can update your MCS-150 in Motus. Filing with FMCSA is free.
Login.gov setup help
If you'd rather have help, Fast Trucking Compliance offers PIN recovery or Login.gov setup help as a $25 add-on. It is optional: you only need it if you want help with Login.gov setup.
What happened to the PIN
FMCSA retired the old PIN with its legacy systems on May 14, 2026, and Motus opened on May 19, 2026. Motus replaced FMCSA's older registration systems, and sign-in now runs through Login.gov. If you are searching for a way to recover or replace a PIN, you don't need one: set up Login.gov and link your USDOT number instead.
