Day-to-day, that means coordinating the second-reviewer pass on every guide before publication and running the weekly editorial standup where the team flags incoming FMCSA, IRS, and PHMSA rulemakings that affect existing articles.

Before joining Fast Trucking Compliance, Marcus spent eight years in motor-carrier operations - first as a dispatcher, then as the compliance manager for a 60-truck regional carrier running the I-95 corridor. That operational history shapes how the review process works; every guide gets read with “does this match what actually happens at a freight terminal at 5am” in mind.

Marcus owns the editorial calendar for guide updates after federal rule changes. When FMCSA publishes a final rule (like Clearinghouse-II), Marcus identifies the affected articles and assigns the rewrite to the appropriate specialist.
